What is a nightguard?
A nightguard is an appliance that fits over your teeth to protect them from grinding and clenching. Occasional grinding is not of concern, but if done regularly, it can cause broken teeth, loss of enamel, and possibly loss of teeth. Some jaw and face pain can be alleviated with a nightguard as well. Our night guards are made of dual materials: a soft material that cushions the muscles of the jaw and a hard material that protects the teeth.
What is a sportsguard?
A sportsguard is an appliance that protects your teeth during any sport activities that involve potential for contact with another person, a ball, a bat, a stick, a fist, a board, etc. Studies have consistently shown a reduction in orofacial injuries with the use of sportsguards.
Our sportsguards are available in a variety of colors and can be customized with a logo or team name.

How are nightguards and sportsguards made?
Both of our nightguards and sportsguards are custom made to your teeth. A custom fit guard allows for the maximum comfort and a better chance that you will wear it. It usually takes two appointments. At the first appointment, we will make an impression of your teeth. A dental lab will fabricate your guard with specific instructions. At the second appointment, we will check for fit and make any adjustments as necessary.
